Here is an overview of my phone screen time and pick ups between 13th - 19th January 2025.

It was always going to be a hard ask to beat or maintain last weeks screen time and as it happens, I was quite happy with the result in light of the weeks events.

Over Tuesday and Wednesday which, I worked in the city, I spent a total of 7 hours on a train, each day. Yes, you heard right, per day! My normal commuting time is 5 and a half hours (3 hours there and 2.5 hours back,) but due to industrial action it threw a real spanner in the works.

Surprisingly, I had things well setup on my phone, so the day which inflated my screen time was Friday, when I took our elder daughter to her Nanny’s who was taking her horse riding. This was down to listening to Spotify through Apple Play, which contributes to my screen time total.

The industry action really impacted my pick ups as I was pinging messages backwards and forewords with work and my wife, however, pick up activity on Thursday and Friday remained high.

I am not sure how it worked out that Saturday was the day I recorded the most pick ups, as this was clearly either Wednesday or Friday.
